Seatrium Ltd. was awarded a contract by Single Buoy Moorings Inc., an SBM Offshore company, for the topsides fabrication and integration of the FPSO Jaguar offshore Guyana.

The FPSO Jaguar, to be built for the Whiptail Field in the Stabroek block offshore Guyana, will be able to produce 250,000 bbl/d with an associated gas treatment capacity of 540 MMcf/d. It will also be designed for a water injection capacity of 300,000 bbl/d of water and a storage capacity of 2 MMbbl of oil.

Seatrium will handle the FPSO’s fabrication of several topsides modules, risers, mooring and umbilical structures, as well as their installation and integration of these structures.

Work will begin in the third quarter of 2024 and will be deployed for Exxon Mobil’s use.

"We are honoured to be able to support SBM Offshore and Exxon Mobil Guyana in contributing to the oil and gas industry in Guyana with yet another FPSO for deployment in the Stabroek block,” said Marlin Khiew, Seatrium's executive vice president of oil and gas (Americas).

Seatrium has been involved in delivering other FPSOs to the Stabroek block offshore Guyana—particularly, FPSO Liza Destiny, Liza Unity and FPSO Prosperity.

FPSO Jaguar is Seatrium’s 29th major project for SBM Offshore.
