SensorTran Inc. announced the general availability of its DTS 5100-M15 and the DTS 5100-M18 long-range products.
According to the developer, oil and gas companies can now obtain long-range, high-resolution temperature measurements of critical assets at distances of 9.32 to 11.18 miles (15 to 18 km) with its advanced distributed temperature sensing (DTS) technology.
In addition to a compact and rugged design, the M15 and M18 products also feature an Ethernet-ready computer pre-loaded with DTS software for simple system management. Among several standard options, the system includes autonomous data collection and storage, multiple zones and alarms, flexible data, alarm, and remote control or access communications. The system also contains self-diagnostics with automatic starting and safe shut-down capabilities. It provides users with simple and intuitive calibration, configuration and operation with application-specific graphical data visualization and user-interfaces, and fast-installation modular cabinet packages with power back-up, displays and keyboards. Due to the system’s high signal-to-noise ratio and its data processing capabilities, it provides fast measurement speeds with shorter read times.
