Duncan Bate
Duncan Bate is a senior sales geophysicist for ARKeX. He has a BSc in Geophysics with Geology from The University of Liverpool and a Ph.D. from Keele University in applications of 4-D gravity measurements to monitor fluid flow in hydrocarbon reservoirs. He joined ARK Geophysics in 2004 as an interpretation geophysicist and has held his current position for two years.
Kurt Stack
Dr. K.M. Strack is president of KMS Technologies- KJT Enterprises Inc., an EMGS/RXT company, specializing in electromagnetic technology for marine exploration, appraisal drilling, and production monitoring. He also serves as Adjunct Professor in the Geosciences Department at the University of Houston, Mahidol University Bangkok, and at Yangtze University, Jiangzhou, China, where he teaches borehole geophysics and electrical methods for petroleum applications, respectively. Before starting KJT Enterprises, Strack served as Chief Scientist for Baker Atlas in Houston after various management positions. Prior to that he pioneered LOTEM (surface transient electromagnetics for hydrocarbon exploration) development and several advanced borehole geophysics technologies in Germany, Australia, and the US. Kurt received a Ph.D. from the University of Cologne, Germany, and a M.Sc. from Colorado School of Mines.
Tom Austin
Tom Austin is the president of Austin Exploration Inc. He has an MS in Geophysics from the University of Tulsa. Prior to forming Austin in 1976 he was an interpreter and supervisor for Texaco in gravity, magnetic, and seismic operations and held similar positions at GAI-GMX and Petty-Ray Geophysical. Austin Exploration Inc. is responsible for finding the Reidel Field in Louisiana for Inexco using gravity data only. It also found Round Mountain, the largest gold mine in Nevada, for LL&E using gravity and magnetic data.
