Kulczyk Oil Ventures Inc. completed field operations for its acquisition of the Block Brunei L in Southeast Asia.
The acquisition was for 191.8 sq km (74 sq miles) of 3-D, 16.2 sq km (6 sq miles) of 3-D swath and 14 km (45,932 ft.) of 2-D seismic.
The program, operated by AED Southeast Asia Ltd., started with the acquisition of the first 2-D line in late December 2011 and the final portion of the 3-D acquisition program was completed May 29. Site restoration was completed June 18.
The project was completed safely with no lost time accidents. A total of 2.5 million man hours were logged on the project with an average crew size of approximately 1,000 people.
