EMGS has signed a contract extension worth approximately $39 million with Pemex.
 
The Boa Thalassa will continuously acquire 3D electromagnetic (EM) data in the Mexican sector of the Gulf of Mexico (GoM) throughout the contract extension period.

"This contract extension is an endorsement of our technology and the value that EM surveys deliver in hydrocarbon exploration. We look forward to supporting Pemex in its efforts to improve Mexico's reserves replacement ratio," said Roar Bekker, EMGS chief executive officer.
