Searcher Seismic Pty Ltd. confirmed a high-resolution 3D multi-client seismic survey over the Bjornoya fault complex in the Norwegian Barents Sea.
Following a very successful 2D multi-client survey earlier in the year, a niche area has been high graded and is now the focus of the 3D campaign.
The high resolution 3D seismic survey of 1,900 sq km will in particular target the shallow prospective sedimentary section along the Bjornoya fault complex in the proposed 22nd round acreage release area about 30 km north of the recent giant Skrugard and Havis oil discoveries.
The first data is schedule to be delivered to the participating companies third quarter 2012.
