The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (MPE) announced the 22nd licensing round on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS).

A total of 86 blocks and part of blocks are being offered, 14 of which are in the Norwegian Sea and 72 in the Barents Sea.

The application deadline is on Dec. 4, 2012, and the government intends to award new production licenses before the summer of 2013.
