Lundin Petroleum has completed the Tiga Papan 5 well located in Blocks SB307 & SB308 offshore Sabah, Malaysia.

The well targeted an un-appraised fault block of mid-Miocene aged sands of the Tiga Papan unit that was successfully tested in 1982 by the Tiga Papan 1 well.

The well successfully penetrated the target reservoir interval; however, it proved to be water bearing. The well will be plugged and abandoned as a dry hole.

The West Courageous rig will now move to drill the Berangan prospect located in Block SB303.
