Consafe and Jutal International agreement to develop modular buildings markets

Published Oct 21, 2008

Consafe Engineering Services Ltd, of Aberdeen Scotland, and Jutal Offshore Oil Services Ltd of Shenzhen, China, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the companies to work together in exploring new and fresh avenues in the worldwide modular building markets onshore and offshore.

Jutal, an offshore fabricator and supplier to the international oil and gas markets, was established in 1995. With registered offices in The Cayman Islands, its shares are listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong stock exchange. Jutal has a proven track record as a module fabricator and technical services provider, with well equipped fabrication yards across China, employing over 1,600 people.

Consafe is a leading manufacturer of complex and highly serviced industrial buildings that are constructed offsite - using Consafe's own specialised modular system. It is a global supplier of bespoke built modular systems and buildings for use off- and onshore.

Consafe has over 30 years’ involvement in the offshore oil and gas industry and has full in-house design and engineering capability built around a multi-disciplined and vastly experienced taskforce of 100 employees.

The cooperation between Jutal and Consafe will create a synergy between the two companies and has tremendous potential for Consafe in opening up new markets and opportunities.

Due to this and other events, Consafe will soon be ramping up their recruitment drive to employ around 20 new personnel in various disciplines.

The Memorandum of Understanding was executed by Mr Chen Guo Cai, of Jutal, and Mr Graeme Baird, of Consafe, who are delighted with the development and revealed that both companies are currently investigating projects that could see the new cooperation being productive by as early as the end of 2008.
