Eagle Geophysical, Inc. announced that it filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code (the “Bankruptcy Code”), in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas (the “Court”) (Case No. 09-33753) on May 31, 2009. A wholly-owned subsidiary, Eagle Geophysical Onshore, Inc., also filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code (Case No. 09-33755). The Company will continue to operate its business as a “debtor in possession” under the jurisdiction of the Court in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Bankruptcy Code and orders of the Court.
