CB&I has been awarded a contract, valued in excess of $225 million, by AGL Energy Ltd. for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning work on the Newcastle gas storage facility project at Tomago in New South Wales, Australia.

CB&I was contracted in 2010 by AGL to begin FEED execution planning on the project.

CB&I's scope of work will include all the civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning support for the construction of a LNG storage tank, gas pretreatment, liquefaction, vaporization, and the associated utilities.

Project completion is scheduled for 2015.
