A platform procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (PCIC) contract has been awarded for the Manora oil development, offshore Thailand, to a consortium of Clough Ltd. and TL Offshore SDN Berhad, Tap Oil Ltd. announced.
Clough will be responsible for the procurement, construction, and commissioning, and TL Offshore will be responsible for the offshore transportation and installation. The consortium will commence work on the project in September, with completion of their scope of work anticipated in early 2014.
The contracts for the floating, storage offtake (FSO) Unit conversion and charter have been awarded to affiliates of Tanker Pacific Offshore Terminals Pte Ltd. The FSO conversion will be undertaken in Singapore.
Installation of the platform is planned for early 2014. FSO installation also is scheduled for early 2014 in readiness for production to commence.
The Manora oil development concept is a single well head processing platform linked to an FSO unit with 15 development wells (10 production wells and five injection wells).
The development is expected to deliver first production from Manora in early 2014, ramping up to an estimated peak rate of 15,000 b/d of oil from 10 production wells and five injection wells.
