Exillon Energy announced its oil production increased 48% for the first six months of 2012, going from 1.42 MMbbls to 2.1 MMbbls.
The company has assets in two oil-rich regions of Russia, Timan-Pechora (Exillon TP), and West Siberia (Exillon WS).
In other operations news, the company reported: drilling speeds in Exillon WS reduced to around 20 days per well, a new strategy of drilling wells at 60° angle doubled exposed net pay, the lack of oil water contact in wells drilled northeast of the EWS I field suggested substantial reserves increase likely in this area of the field; and improved completion and cementing procedures across portfolio.
