Pemex acquired 45 of the latest Model 5100 HD Series gas analyzers from Ametek Process Instruments for monitoring moisture levels in natural gas at monitoring stations throughout Mexico.

Model 5100 Series gas analyzers are based on tunable, diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS).  The analyzers provide a non-contact, rapid response approach to measuring moisture in natural gas.  Among the instrument’s benefits are integrated sample conditioning and ethernet-based diagnostics that allow for economic installation and ease of operation.

Ametek provides stationary and portable moisture measurement technologies suitable for natural gas service, including chilled mirror hygrometers (dew point testers), quartz-crystal-microbalance (QCM) analyzers that feature on-board NIST-traceable verification and calibration, electrolytic (P2O5) sensors and TDLAS-based instruments.
