Ithaca Energy is pushing ahead with the development of its UK North Sea Jacky development.
The company said the platform has been built and the pipeline is ready to be laid from the Beatrice field to Jacky, in which Ithaca has a 90% stake.
The pipeline will also connect to the Beatrice Bravo platform from which production was previously suspended due to concerns over pipeline integrity. Bravo was producing approximately 800 b/d when it was shut in.
Field development approval for Jacky is anticipated once Beatrice has been acquired by Ithaca.
Ithaca said any further delay in completing the acquisition of Beatrice will delay Jacky production. However, the company said that the Beatrice acquisition is close to being completed with contracts providing for acquisition of the oil field by way of a Lease and Use agreement now in final form.
