Bergen Group Rosenberg AS has been awarded a letter of intent (LOI) from StatoilHydro for an onshore project modification of the storage vessel Njord Bravo.
The contract includes the FEED study and engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning assistance activities.
The assignment of FSO FPSO Njord Bravo includes modifications and upgrading of the accommodation section, engines, thrusters, and control systems. The work also includes a surface of the deck and the hull, which will be performed by Kaefer Energy, the main supplier, in dry dock at Bergen Group Rosenberg in Stavanger. Njord B has a length of 240 m (787 ft) and a storage capacity of 110,000 cu m.
The work starts in late August 2012 with 3 to 4 month FEED study to prepare for the mission. Thereafter, it conducted detailed design and planning before docking period which is scheduled to start in June 2013 and last four to five months.
