Fabricom Offshore Services has been awarded a major contract valued at more than £1million (US $1.6 million) by EnQuest Britain Ltd., according to a news release.

The company will support EnQuest in a modification and upgrade project to extend the operating life of the Thistle Alpha platform, which is located 443 km (275 miles) north-northeast of Aberdeen.  To execute this work, Fabricom will use a team of engineers from its engineering office in Newcastle.
