OGX Petróleo e Gás Participações SA placed an order for the charter and construction of the wellhead platforms 3 and 4, in addition to wellhead platforms 1 and 2 that have already been ordered and are under construction by Techint Engenharia e Construções SA.

Platforms 1 and 2 are scheduled to be delivered by the first half of 2014, and are expected to be assigned to the Waimea and Waikiki complexes, respectively.

"The first two fixed platforms already contracted by OGX, being built by Techint, will be of great importance for the Campos Basin production development from 2014. With the advance of the appraisal campaign in this basin and the achievement of important results in the discovered accumulations, we are now requesting platforms 3 and 4 that will be built in the OSX Shipyard in the Açu Superport," said Paulo Mendonça, OGX’s general and exploration officer.
