Apache and Senergy have announced a partnership to provide the oil and gas industry with previously proprietary geosteering and other software that can improve the evaluation and productivity of unconventional resource developments.

Senergy, which provides fully-integrated project and asset development services across the energy industry, will receive patented and unique geosteering software designed by Apache as part of a cooperative software development agreement, and the technology will be used within Senergy’s Interactive Petrophysics (IPTM) and Oilfield Data Manager (ODMTM) software suites.

The new technology package consists of PetroSleekTM, a patented and innovative tool for geosteering, together with several other unique modules which perform a variety of calculations to enhance the evaluation of subsurface formation data. Additional tools in the package include a complete unconventional resources workflow, a fluid properties tool and a salinity calculation tool.
