Kleven Maritime has signed a contract with offshore ship owning company Ugland Offshore on the delivery of a platform supply vessel of the SALT 100 PSV design. The vessel is to be delivered from Kleven Verft in Ulsteinvik, Norway, first quarter 2014. The contract also includes an option for a second vessel.
Currently, Kleven Maritime’s yard Myklebust Verft has a platform supply vessel of the VS 485 MK II design under construction for Ugland, to be delivered the end June.
The new vessel, designed by Salt Ship Design AS at Stord, Norway, is 88.9 m (291 ft) long, 20 m (65 ft) in width and with accommodation for 24 persons. The new Salt 100 design includes a number of new solutions, and is tailor made to meet oil companies’ requirements for modern platform supply vessel contracts.
