AMEC has signed an agreement to acquire a 50% stake in Kromav Engenharia Ltda.

Kromav has a team of some 200 people specialising in engineering services for offshore platforms, FPSO vessels, and other marine applications. Their customers include Petrobras, OSX, and major engineering, procurement, and construction companies.

Combining Kromav’s local reputation and engineering expertise with AMEC’s international major project delivery capability, which includes 50 global FPSO projects, will support AMEC’s vision 2015 strategy to develop fully integrated service capabilities in Brazil, a news release states. The company will be called AMEC Kromav.
