Sercel’s complete portfolio of marine seismic systems has been deployed on the Oceanic Champion, a recently upgraded vessel in the CGGVeritas fleet.

Benoît Ribadeau-Dumas, executive vice president of CGGVeritas’ marine division, said, "We selected the full set of Sercel systems to ensure our high-end Oceanic Champion vessel achieves unrivalled operational efficiency and seismic imaging in difficult and challenging environments such as the North Sea, where it is currently acquiring a large high-resolution survey. Operating with a 14 km by 6.6 km variable-depth streamer configuration, the choice of Nautilus is particularly reassuring as it ensures better control of the 50-m (164-ft) streamer separation we are using for this high-density survey."
