According to Reservoir Group, the company has created the world’s largest coring provider through the consolidation of all its coring activities under one brand, Corpro.

The move, which will see nearly half of all core cutting activities within the global energy industry carried out under Corpro, follows the full deployment of the organization’s technology, Quick Capture, which is the first pressure core assembly able to bring both the core and all of the associated reservoir fluids to surface in a safe and controllable manner, stated the company.

Corpro was the original member company of Reservoir but since the group was created five years ago, three North America coring businesses have come onboard – Diamond Oil Well Drilling Co., Coring Services Inc., and Quest Coring Services.

International deployment of the Quick Capture technology is scheduled for third quarter 2012.
