AMEC plc announced that Linda Adamany will be joining the board as a non-executive director.

Adamany has been a non-executive director at National Grid since 2006. She previously held various executive roles for BP in both the UK and the US, including chief executive of BP shipping, group vice president and commercial director of BP refining and marketing, and until August 2007, was group vice president of BP plc.

AMEC’s chairman, John Connolly, said, "Adamany brings more than 30 years of experience of the global energy sector and significant knowledge of the operations of AMEC's major customers.”
