Stefaan Sercu has been named GDF Seuz Energy Marketing North America’s president and CEO, according to a news release.

He succeeds Sam Henry, who became president and CEO of GDF Suez Energy Resources NA.

Employed by the company for the past 15 years, Sercu most recently served as vice president of local portfolio management -- generation, in which he was responsible for overseeing the commercial optimization of GDF Suez's North American power generation fleet, the release said. Sercu also has worked in various other positions encompassing price forecasting, valuing proposed business development projects, hedging, and commodity risk management during his tenure with GDF Suez.

Robert Wilson was named president and CEO of GDF Suez Gas NA Holdings LLC. He succeeds Claiborne Harris, who is retiring from the company.

Wilson has more than 25 years of experience in the natural gas and power industries, most recently as president and CEO of GDF Suez Energy Resources.

In his 16 years with GDF Suez, Wilson has engaged in a broad range of activities, including the establishment of the company's North American commodity trading, marketing, and risk management activities, according to the release. In addition, he managed international energy commodity projects and merger and acquisition activities for the group principally in Northern Europe and North America. He later oversaw sales, supply, and shipping arrangements for the company’s LNG operation in New England.

Wilson also served as head of strategy, risk, and portfolio management, and chief business developer for GDF Suez Energy North America.
