InterAct Activity Management Ltd., an Acteon company, has enhanced its abandonment engineering skills base with the recent appointments of Dave Barclay, Allen Scoging and Juliann Canty.
Barclay joins InterAct from BP, where he was a well abandonment engineer involved with the subsea abandonment of wells on the U.K. continental shelf. Previously, he spent more than 20 years as a completions engineer working in locations across the globe.
Scoging has joined InterAct from Schlumberger. He has a master of engineering degree in mechanical engineering from Loughborough University, U.K., and is currently completing his chartership with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
While at Schlumberger, he was initially based in Stavanger, Norway, as a measurement while drilling field engineer preparing and running reservoir characterization and telemetry tools. He then moved to Schlumberger's technology center in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, before joining InterAct in January. He has completed well plugging and abandonment work for TAQA Bratani, Talisman Energy, Perenco and Centrica Energy Upstream.
Canty joins InterAct from Proserv, where she was a project engineer involved with subsea and marine technology. She has a master of engineering degree in mechanical engineering from Belfast University, Northern Ireland, and hopes to embark on her chartership with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. Previously, she worked for Schlumberger, initially offshore as a cementing engineer before moving into the office environment.
InterAct has also set up a base in its parent company’s offices in Aberdeen, U.K.
