The board of JKX Oil & Gas has appointed Dipesh Shah as senior independent director.

Shah succeeds Nigel Moore, who became chairman on July 13th. 

Shah was appointed to the board as a non-executive director in 2008, and is chairman of the remuneration committee and a member of the audit committee.
