Wood Group’s chairman, Sir Ian Wood, will retire from the position he has held at the company since 1982.

The announcement was part of several board changes that will become effective Nov. 1.

Wood, who also served as CEO from 1967 to 2006, will be replaced by Allister Langlands, who has been with the company since 1991. Langlands initially served as financial director, then eight years as deputy CEO and CEO since 2007.

Bob Keiller, chief executive of the Wood Group PSN division, will become CEO.
