ABN AMRO appointed Maarten Terlouw as global head of energy within the bank’s energy, commodities and transportation business.
Terlouw rejoins the bank from RBS where he was head of RBS's global industrials sector advisory group in London. He has a long track record in investment banking, through different roles, including, co-head of corporate finance for the Netherlands for RBS, following its acquisition of ABN AMRO’s investment banking division in 2008, and previously in senior roles in ABN AMRO's energy and resources, sector advisory group. He replaces Marius Messer, who has been appointed head of strategic risk at ABN AMRO.
In his new role, he will be based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and will report to Harris Antoniou, global head of ECT at ABN AMRO.
