Tullow Oil plc announced the appointment of Anne Drinkwater as a non-executive director with effect immediately.

Drinkwater joins Tullow after a long and successful career with BP. She held a number of senior business and operations positions, most recently as president and CEO of BP Canada from 2009-12. Other positions within BP included group vice president, president of BP Indonesia, and managing director of BP Norway.

Drinkwater has a strong commercial and business development background from within the oil and gas sector and brings experience in governance and stakeholder management to Tullow. She is currently a non-executive director of Aker Solutions ASA in Norway.
