UniversalPegasus International (UPI) appointed Philip Luna as its chief executive officer (CEO). Interim CEO, Bob Deason, will remain as executive chairman of the board.

Luna has more than 30 years of engineering and construction management experience with a substantial portion of his career spent in the hydrocarbon transmission and production industries. He joins UPI from Jacobs Engineering where he held various positions, including vice president of business development, vice president of projects and vice president of operations in Baton Rouge, LA.

Prior to Luna’s service at Jacobs Engineering, he served as vice president and general manager of CDI Engineering. He began his career with ExxonMobil and has also completed work with Enterprise Products Co. and Fluor Corp.
