UTEC has confirmed the appointment of Brendan Ryan as chief operating officer (COO).

Ryan is the holder of a BAI in engineering and a BA in mathematics from Trinity College, Dublin and a MBA from Texas A&M in Corpus Christi, Texas.  He is also a chartered engineer from the Institute of Engineers in Ireland and will be based in UTEC’s Houston office.

Ryan’s extensive experience has been gained through more than 30 years in the oil and gas services industry, where he has held various roles including managing operations, sales strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, as well as profit and loss responsibility.

UTEC’s CEO, Martin O’Carroll, said, ”Ryan will bring a fresh set of eyes to the company perspective together with a wealth of oil service industry experience to balance the current management team.”
