Redline Communications Group Inc.’s industrial wireless products were chosen to create a wireless infrastructure for a major oil field operated by the Abu Dhabi Co. (ADCO) for onshore oil operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As part of this contract, Redline will provide the hardware, software and services required to create a ubiquitous wireless infrastructure. Alcatel-Lucent will deploy the Redline system, integrating it within the larger digital oil field system.

ADCO operates onshore and in the shallow coastal waters of the UAE. They produce from six oil fields in an area encompassing more than 21,000 sq km. Redline’s products will create a private, high-speed private network blanketing a wide area, delivering business system access to employees in the field and connecting supervisory control and data acquisition devices, remote terminal units and sensors at the wellheads to central control centers, stated Redline.
