Aibel has been awarded the contract for hookup and commissioning of Goliat FPSO unit before startup at the Goliat Field. The contract includes preparations and commissioning before startup at the field. In addition, the project will consist of construction work and work related to commissioning of Goliat.
Goliat is under construction at the Hyundai yard in South Korea. Goliat is an FPSO vessel and will be the first platform of its kind on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The Goliat facility will be installed at the Goliat Field, which is situated 85 km (53 miles) northwest of Hammerfest.
Eni Norge AS is the operator of the Goliat Field with a 65% interest, while Statoil has an interest of 35%.
