Amec Foster Wheeler has named George Hernandez as president, upstream business development, effective immediately, the company said in a news release.
Immediately prior to his appointment, Hernandez was vice president operations and business unit general manager for WorleyParsons' upstream business. Previously, he held senior operations and business development roles with WorleyParsons, and preceding that held a business development role with Wood Group Mustang, the release said. He started his career at UOP in project management, working on a number of refining, petrochemical and natural gas projects.
Hernandez has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois (Chicago). He will be based in the company's Houston office.
