Blackeagle Energy Services expanded its footprint with the acquisition of certain Permian Basin assets from Brazos Rock Inc., the company said Aug. 24.

The acquisition, terms of which were undisclosed, strengthens Blackeagle's existing Texas operations and puts the company at "the epicenter of the nation's largest oil producing region," said Rick Barrett, president and CEO.

"By establishing a leading presence in the region, at what is widely considered the bottom of the cycle, Blackeagle is well positioned for future growth," Barrett said in a statement.

Blackeagle, based in Berthoud, Colo., provides energy-related construction and maintenance services. The company will employee Brazos Rock's former employees and occupy the company's building and yard in Midland, Texas, according to a press release.
