Brazil's main oilworkers union federation FUP said on Sept. 3 it has delayed a planned open-ended strike against state-run oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA until Sept. 6 at the earliest.

Previously the union, as is required by law, notified Petrobras, as the oil company is known, that a strike could start as early as 0:00 the morning of Sept. 4 (0300 GMT), the press office said.
