Oceaneering International has been awarded a contract by Italy’s Saipem to supply umbilicals for the BG Group’s Burullus West Delta Deep Marine Phase IXa development offshore Egypt.
The order consists of 10 subsea production control umbilicals totaling approximately 84 km in length and two electrical power cables totalling approximately 55 km in length.
Product manufacturing will be carried out at Oceaneering’s facility in Rosyth, Scotland and is expected to start in the second quarter of 2013. It will be completed in the third quarter of 2014.
