Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has entered a data licensing agreement with an oil company for the provision of 3-D EM data related to the 23rd licensing round in the Barents Sea, EMGS said in a news release.

The agreement is worth $2.5 million, before potential adjustment for partner's share of revenues.

EMGS' multiclient data library in Norway covers 44,000 sq km (16,988 sq miles) in the Barents Sea, in addition to about 10,000 sq km (3,861 sq miles) in the Norwegian Sea and 1,400 sq km (541 sq miles) in the North Sea, the release said.
