Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) has received a letter of award (LOA) for a contract worth about $4.2 million from an oil company for 3-D EM data acquisition over the company’s operated area in Malaysia, a news release said.
The contract period is for two years. The parties also have designed a survey for an optional second phase in 2016, EMGS said in the release.
The survey will be done using the vessel BOA Thalassa, which is expected to commence acquisition as soon as possible, according to EMGS. The work is expected to last about one month.
