Energy Software Intelligence Analytics Ltd. (ESIA) said Dec. 7 it has completed the acquisition of the U.K.-based Douglas-Westwood Ltd. The value of the transaction wasn't disclosed.

Douglas-Westwood is a market leading brand in bespoke and multi-client research, strategic and commercial reviews for the oilfied services market, servicing the largest financial, E&P and service company clients, the release said.

The addition of the consulting and analytical services from Douglas-Westwood extends ESIA’s reach into the oilfield services market, the release said.

“The acquisition of Douglas-Westwood is a significant step in the development of ESIA, effectively doubling the size of our business and bringing global coverage," said Gavin Prise, chairman of ESIA, in a statement.

Since its formation in 1990, Douglas-Westwood has completed more than 1,000 projects and advised on transactions worth more than $30 billion. The company operates from Houston, Singapore and the U.K.

Including its acquisition of Douglas-Westwood, ESIA has acquired four companies since being formed in January 2015 by Energy Ventures.

ESIA is seeking to build a leading player in the business intelligence and market analytics space through a combination of organic investment and targeted acquisitions, according to the release.
