One of the biggest ever deepwater development drilling programmes has begun on Total’s EGINA (SEN, 31/16) fpso project, offshore Nigeria. The French operator expects to require over eight years in rig days (3,000) to drill the 44 development wella in waters to 1,700m. The field is due onstream in late 2017.
DYNA-MAC has been contracted to fabricate 10 topside modules and the flare tower for the fpso for Premier Oil’s CATCHER (31/10) development in the UK which will be chartered from BW as well.
