Fugro and Ikon Science will integrate shallow hazard assessment and deeper pore pressure prediction services to reduce wellsite geohazards, Ikon said May 18.
Technical quality, time, cost and data consistency will be improved through the partnership, the company said. Wellsite geohazards, usually pressure-related, include drilling kicks and losses, shallow-water flows and shallow gas.
Steve O’Connor, global lead for geopressure at Ikon Science, said that the new integrated service will provide a continuous unbroken set of pressure profiles from sea bed to total depth.
