Golar LNG has selected the ex-CEO of BG Group, Sir Frank Chapman, to be its new chairman. Chapman was CEO of BG for 12 years and during his time oversaw a growth in operating profit from $50 million in 1996 to more than $8 billion in 2012. His role will be to help Golar achieve its ambition to become an integrated midstream LNG company.
