About 8,938 kilograms of natural gas leaked from subsea equipment in the Southern Drill Center in the Canadian Atlantic on Aug. 31, Husky Energy Inc. said Sept. 2. This release was shut off within 12 minutes of the initial alarm.

Mel Duvall, manager of media and issues, said production is continuing with minimal impact.

The Atlantic Osprey has been mobilized to the Southern Drill Center to investigate with an ROV. The C-NLOPB is reviewing the incident and Husky is continuing its investigation, the company said.
