In August, Petrobras had an average oil and natural gas production, in Brazil and abroad, of 2,544,250 boe/d. The output from Brazilian fields averaged 2,305,890 boe/d, 0.4% lower than the previous month. The scheduled maintenance shutdowns of two platforms located in the Campos Basin- P-52 (Roncador) and FPSO Cidade de Niteroi- were largely responsible for this decrease. Total output from fields located abroad averaged 238,360 boe/d, a 0.4% decline from July.
Of the total output in Brazil, 1,927,724 barrels/day were exclusively from the production of oil. In August, non-liquefied natural gas output reached 60.124 MMcm, 1% higher than the volume produced in July.
Petrobras average production abroad, exclusively of oil, was 147,215 b/d, up 0.1% when compared with the previous month. Natural gas production totaled 15.4 MMcm/d, a 1.3% decline from July. This decrease was due to a lower demand for Bolivian gas.
