JDR has been awarded a contract by Marathon Oil for the design and manufacture of 11.3 km of power and static subsea umbilicals with accompanying termination hardware for the West Brae Field in the U.K. North Sea, according to a news release.
The full scope of the award will be manufactured and deployed from JDR’s Hartlepool, U.K., facility where the company is expanding its manufacture footprint with the installation of a helical lay-up machine to accompany its existing vertical lay-up machine (VLM), the release said.
Delivery is scheduled for July 2016.
