About the Role:

Amec Foster Wheeler has an opportunity for a Senior Roads and Underground Engineer. There is an increased thrust to deliver our services for the growing Asian market. As a result of this, Civil Structural Department operation in Singapore is expanding and evolving to manage the challenges of regional projects that continue to pose challenges in offering our services through a global talent pool.

* Reporting to the CSA Lead / Area Lead and supervising the CSA Engineers & Designers, for the main functions of the role, to be proactive with and coordinate with the supervisors in order to be fully aware of latest applicable codes, standards and keeping assigned Engineers & Drafting persons informed for civil U/G activities
* Assign work to the Roads and U/G team ensuring the project deliverables are produced in accordance with the agreed schedule. Ensure that the Engineering calculations & drafting activities are carried out within the established time schedule and within allocated budget of man-hours
* Regular Co-ordination with the assigned Engineer & Drafting Team to ensure uniformity in design quality and drafting activities
* Carry out plus provide checking of Roads and U/G calculations & drawings to ensure quality and correctness with project requirements, for roads, paving, cable trenching, all necessary drainage systems, hydraulic calculations, overall drainage philosophy, & basis of design documents
* Coordinate 3D modeling activities of the team and with other lead discipline designers to maintain the clash free model
* Check and prepare Material Take-off and bill of Quantities for Road and U/G works
* Co-ordinate with other disciplines and Qualified Person for permitting-related issues, drawing and calculation submission for BCA, PUB, NEA or PCD approval
* Support Lead engineer in preparation of bid submissions for U/G activities
