McAda Fluids Heating Services and McAda Drilling Fluids broke ground on a new 10-acre facility near Fort Lupton, Colo., to serve the Niobrara Shale and the Rockies, according to a press release.
Located at the northeast corner of U.S. Highway 85 and County Road 8 in Fort Lupton, the McAda facility will include a truck yard, maintenance shop, warehouse and office. It will be the operating base for the company’s 18 local employees when it opens in spring 2015. In the interim, McAda operates 15 mobile heating units—each with 35 million Btu of heating capacity—from a temporary facility in Brighton, Colo.
McAda Fluids Heating Services offers solutions for operators during the hydraulic fracturing process in cold weather, for specific frack fluid temperature requirements, or for issues related to wellbore pipe contraction. McAda Drilling Fluids provides oilfield service equipment, operates a fleet of specialized trucks and offers products including custom-blended drilling and completion fluids and water-based drilling mud.
