Mermaid Maritime Public Co. Ltd.’s wholly owned subsidiary in the Middle East has been awarded two saturation diving services contracts, the company said in a press release. Both contracts are estimated to be of about six to eight months in total duration. The first of these contracts has already commenced, and the second will start upon completion of the first.
The contracts will be serviced using a chartered DP3 multipurpose support vessel Bourbon Evolution. Mermaid has secured this vessel for a period of eight months with a further option for an additional eight-month extension.
Mermaid also will deploy specialized diving equipment, ROVs, specialized divers and other project crew to provide a fully integrated service under these contracts. The total estimated value of the contracts is $40 million to $45 million.
